Remote Learning Instructions
Dear Parents and Students,
In light of the current situation and that we will be working remotely until further notice, I am posting instructions here on how to proceed until we get an update. Fortunately, all of my classes have been using Google Classroom and other online homework/quiz platforms throughout the semester. Students are linked to Google Classroom through their school email accounts. They receive notifications of any communications or assignments I post on Classroom through their email. Nearly all students have joined and are used to using Classroom, but for any who have not, the codes to join are shown on the Spanish 1 and 2 pages on this site. For any parent or student who would like to join using a personal gmail account, please use the class code to do so, and I will accept your request. For now, I will be posting all communications and lessons through the Google Classroom site. Another way to contact me is by using the Contact Me form below. I will reply to you as quickly as possible.

Welcome to my web site! I look forward to a fun and productive semester with lots of opportunities to learn the Spanish language and about Hispanic cultures. During class time, the activities will focus on meaningful communication in the language. For this reason, it is essential that students study grammar and vocabulary for about 20 minutes each night and complete homework assignments to prepare for speaking activities.
When learning a foreign language, active participation in class is essential. I understand that speaking can be intimidating, but making errors is a part of the learning process and is welcomed. I hope to establish a safe, fun environment where all students feel comfortable to test out the language (and sometimes make mistakes).
I offer after school tutoring on Wednesdays in Room 413 from 3:45-4:30, or by appointment. I believe that if we all work together, teacher, student, parent, we will have a successful semester.
